  • 9: Deadline to submit applications for the Fellowships for Threatened Scholars. The fellowships support temporary academic positions at colleges, universities, and other research institutions anywhere in the world where the scholars facing threats to their lives or careers can continue their academic work in safety.   • 15: Extended deadline to apply for the AAAS-TWAS Course on Science Diplomacy 2018 that will be held in Trieste, Italy from 20 to 24 August 2018.
  • 16: Deadline for nominations to the TWAS-Lenovo Science Prize. For the 2018 edition of the prize, TWAS will consider candidates with world-class achievements in Engineering Sciences. The TWAS-Lenovo Science Prize will carry a monetary award of USD100,000 provided by Lenovo, as well as a medal and a certificate highlighting the recipient's major contributions to science.   • 25: Deadline for nominations to the TWAS-Fayzah M. Al-Kharafi Prize, the TWAS-Abdool Karim Prize and the TWAS-Atta-ur-Rahman Award in Chemistry. For full details about eligibility criteria and to submit a nomination online, please visit the page page of each award.
  • 30: Deadline to submit applications for the L'Oreal-UNESCO For Women In Science Sub-Saharan Africa Fellowships to support young women scientists. 14 annual Fellowships (12 for doc & 2 for Postdoc) will be granted. Information about Rules and Regulations and the link to apply can be found here.
